Prince Prigio

Prince Prigio grows up under a fairy curse that makes him impossibly clever, which annoys nearly everyone at court, especially his father. When a Firedrake threatens the kingdom, Prigio is sent on a dangerous quest that leads to lost brothers, enchanted objects, a revived cat, and a series of magical rescues. In the end, he wins back honor, love, and peace, then chooses to seem no cleverer than other people so he can be better liked.
