Doctor Dolittle’s Post Office

Doctor Dolittle is pulled into a dramatic rescue when Zuzana begs for help after her husband is taken by slave traders. With Speedy-the-Skimmer and the swallows, he races to a British naval ship, helps identify the slaver, and supports the chase that brings the husband home. Later, in Junganyika, he soothes Mudface the turtle’s gout and asks the birds of the Swallow Mail to build him a new island from stones, pebbles, sand, and seeds. The result is a wonderfully strange, hopeful tale about practical kindness, brave action, and the power of teamwork.
